Siena Marie - 1 month!

Siena you are 1 month old!

Siena turned one month old this week (a few weeks ago) and I really can't believe it! This past month has been the best, most rewarding month of my life while also being one of the hardest and most tiring, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Being a mommy to this baby girl is amazing.

this month:
You have had quite a busy first month considering you are such a little babe! You celebrated your first Christmas and New Year this month! You rang in the New Year by throwing up just as the clock struck midnight! You have been to TGIFridays, The Cheesecake Factory, a hibachi restaurant for New Year's Eve, to the mall, and to some more local restaurants! It's been a little ridiculous, but we like to be out and about! You have met lots of family and friends. It has been a very busy first month!

As of your 1 month appointment you are:
8 lbs, 13 oz (37th %ile)
21 inches long (46th %ile)

Peanut, Nugget, Pretty, Little Bit, Princess

hair :
It goes back and forth between looking blond, red, gold, and strawberry blond! Lots of people have told us that is looks like you went to the salon to have it dyed!

eye color:
Still grayish but I think they'll be blue.

Mostly still wearing newborn clothes but a few things are starting to be too small which is making me SO SAD! In a few brands you can fit into 0-3 months.

You mostly sleep in three hour increments but have had a few longer 5 hours stretches! You usually eat really quickly at night though and go right back to sleep.

Eating is really one of your favorite activities at the moment! It took you 3 1/2 weeks to get back to your birth weight so we were trying really hard to feed you often and not let you fall asleep. Now that you have it all figured out you want to eat all the time! Some nights you want to eat off and on from 7 pm- 9 pm if you can! During the day you eat about every 2-3 hours. I have been working on upping my supply and starting to pump so that you can get bottles sometimes. You are really good at taking a bottle which is a relief!

Some of Siena's favorite things to do this month are take rides in her car seat and stroller, eat, take baths (until it's time to get out),practicing sucking on her hands and fingers, and cuddling with mama and daddy!

Siena doesn't like when she has gas in her belly or if she gets too hungry!!

Since I ended up having a c-section my recovery was no joke! I was back at my doctor just two days after coming home from the hospital because I was convinced something wasn't right. It turns out I just needed time! I'm finally feeling like myself again! I'm am 2 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight but cant wait to get the go ahead to start working out again! Motherhood is scary and exhausting but I seriously love it!

Siena is taking the world in more and more each day and it's so amazing to watch!
