Second Anniversary & Baby Moon Recap: Quebec City

Back in August, E and I decided to get away for a few days to celebrate our second anniversary and have a little babymoon trip. We decided on Quebec City because it feels like you are in a European city but it is only about a 7 hour drive from our house!

I had been once before on my 8th grade class trip.... but that was 16 years ago so there was a lot I didn't remember!
 Get ready for picture overload!

We stayed in the old town and I loved all of the old buildings!

We didn't stay here... but this hotel is absolutely humongous!

I LOVED this Christmas store!

We got macarons pretty much nightly!

We stayed at a super cute bed-and-breakfast that served a delicious breakfast each morning. We spent most of our time walking around shopping, eating, and being tourists and it was PERFECT! If you ever have a chance to visit this city I would highly recommend it! We stayed for 3 nights which we felt was a pretty good amount of time to see what we wanted to see!

This shirt made us laugh!

Delicious beignets!

The weather was a little cool for August but it was a welcome break from the humidity we had been having at home! The city is very walkable and we walked, and walked, and walked! I think I did pretty good for being 28 weeks pregnant! Although the baby was in a weird position so my left side was aching a lot.

Really weird art...

A dress made of chocolate!

Have you ever had raclette? Basically they give you this grill contraption, a special type of cheese, and some meats and vegetables and you heat it all up to eat! It was interesting and good!

Gross drowned rat picture but whatever! It was pouring rain this night but we saw an awesome fireworks show!

We had a great time and I am grateful we got to spend some special one-on-one time together before we officially become a family of THREE!

Have you ever been to Quebec City?

  1. That looks like a ton of fun! I must go to that Christmas store!

  2. Oh my goodness, those buildings!! LOVE them! You've officially made me want to go there asap... just gorgeous!
