Spain Honeymoon- Day 1 & 2 Boston to Barcelona!

Finally I am getting a chance to start our honeymoon recaps! I hope I don’t already forget all the fun we had!!

Let’s begin!!
We didn't leave for our honeymoon until about 1:30 in the afternoon, and had a day in between our wedding and leaving, so in the morning we finished our last minute packing and said goodbye to all of our guests who were still in town!

After packing we headed to the airport. Eliot’s bro was nice enough to drive us and then we were off!!

On the way we had a layover in Toronto…. which is weird because we left from
Boston and were going to Spain!! Backtracking is no fun.

We flew on AirCanada which has the BEST entertainment systems ever. We had access to probably 25-50 movies and they were FREE, so fun. The flight from Boston to Toronto was quick!

On the flight from Toronto to Barcelona we were sitting in the Emergency Exit row and had no tvs…. BOOOO!! L Also, who knows why…. but for the entirety of the flight the plane was FREEZING. Like I shivered the entire time. I tried to sleep, but no joke... I felt like hypothermia was setting in by the time we got to Spain. Needless to say, we were excited to get there!

We arrived in Barecelona at 7:00 in the morning! So we dropped our luggage off at our hotel and began exploring the city!

Of course first we stopped for some early morning pastries.

Then we checked out the port area! It was really pretty and we saw some cool/HUGE boats.

We could check into our hotel around 2:00 and were excited to take a little nap! The freezing red eye flight left us a little on the tired side! Our hotel was in area with tiny little alley streets.

We took a little nap and then checked out the rooftop pool on our hotel! Loved it!!

Later we headed back out into the city. We went to Corte Ingles which is an 8 FLOOR department store shopper's paradise! They seriously had EVERYTHING you could think of! It was MASSIVE.

That night we walked around some more getting the lay of the land, had dinner, and called it a day!

We saw this store in our travels. Mildy funny while also pretty offensive tshirts. Haha

Our first paella of the trip. SOOO good!

Since we had an overnight flight, days 1 & 2 kind of blended together!

stay tuned for day 3....
